Department Activities 2024-2025

Social Connect Activity

The Department of Civil Engineering AITM Belagavi, arranged a visit on 05-12-2024 to Central Village Pottery Institute (CVPI) at Khanapur, Belagavi. CVPI is affiliated to Khadi and Village Industries Commission, funded by MSME, Government of India.
The students understanding of the numerous Village Industries supported by the Indian central government for the betterment of rural communities was aided by this visit. There are several central government programs for rural and impoverished individuals under MSME, as well as training facilities under CVPI that assist people in becoming self-employed or entrepreneurs.
Students also visited to Modern Pottery and Terracotta Arts at “Phulewadi”, which is successfully run by a physically challenged person, to see current pottery and terracotta arts. Both of the aforementioned visits inspired the students to consider self employment and MSME schemes.
“Khau katta” (food corner) in Belagavi was the destination for the third visit. Each of the aforementioned excursions was planned as an academic component for the 3rd semester students under the course “Social Connect and Responsibility”.

Faculty Development Program

The Department of Civil Engineering AITM, successfully organized the Faculty Development Program (FDP) for one week on “NBA and OUTCOME BASED EDUCATION” from 19 November 2024 to 26 November 2024.
On first day of session Criteria 1″ VISION MISSION AND PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES” was explained by Mr.Sagar L Belgaonkar and Mr. Ravi Tilaganji, the session highlighted about the vision mission and PEO’s. Also explained the consistency, articulation matrix related to Vision Mission and PEO’s.
Day 2 highlighted about Criteria 2 ” PROGRAM CURRICULUM AND TEACHING- LEARNING PROCESSES”, which was delivered by Mr. Ravi Tilaganji, he emphasized about various teaching and learning pedagogy approaches and processes for various heads like project, internship and seminars.
Day 3 was about Criteria 3″ COURSE OUTCOMES AND PROGRAM OUTCOMES”, explained by Mr. Gopal Surapalli and Mr. Sagar L Belgaonkar, they highlighted about the CO’s PO’s and PSO’s, mapping of CO-PO, CO-PSO for theory courses, practical courses, projects, internships and seminars with related matrices by Direct and Indirect assessments methods and tools. Mr. Sagar Belgaonkar discussed about computation of CO attainment, PO attainment and PSO attainment through direct and indirect assessment tools.
Day 4 highlighted Criteria 4 “STUDENTS PERFORMANCE” by Mr. M A Hanchinal, he discussed about the contribution of students in terms of academics, curricular, co-curricular, academic performance index and students placements, higher studies and entrepreneur ships.
Day 5 was about Criteria 6″ FACILITIES AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT” and Criteria 7 “CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT” by Mr. Sagar L Belgaonkar, he explained about the infrastructure and laboratories supporting the department. And also Improvement of students in placements and higher studies.
Day 6 was for Criteria 5 ” FACULTY INFORMATION AND CONTRIBUTION”, by Mr. Ashok Hipparagi he explained about the faculty performance and Contribution through teaching learning process, research, and collaborative work with industries.
Day 7 was for “GREEN INITIATIVES” by Mr. M V Kanthi which addressed the facilities available in AITM, its working procedure for rain water harvesting, recharging ground water and vermicomposting.
The completion of session was followed by felicitation of the resource persons who spared their valuable time to share their insights by Head of Department.
The participants were also felicitated and Vote of Thanks was shared by Mr. Ravi Tilaganji and the session was anchored by Miss. Bharati Kulkarni.

Technical Seminar

On Wednesday, 20th November 2024, Assistant Professor Mrs. Shruti A. Umare and Miss. Bharati Kulkarni, accompanied by 15 students from the Department of Civil Engineering, attended a special lecture on ‘Climate Change and Remote Sensing’. The lecture, delivered by Dr. Anil V Kulkarni, Distinguished Scientist, Divecha Centre for Climate Change, IISc Bangalore, was organized by the Department of Geoinformatics, Sangolli Rayanna First Grade Constituent College, Anjaneya Nagar, Mal-Maruti Extension, Belagavi.
 
The session provided a comprehensive understanding of climate change, its causes, and measures to address it. The discussion also highlighted the importance of forest preservation and pollution control, offering valuable insights to both students and faculty members.

Students of AITM Embark on Transformative AICTE Activity Visit to Gokul Dham Chikale

In a bid to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical insights, students from the Department of Civil Engineering at Angadi Institute of Technology and Management-AITM, Belagavi recently undertook a field visit to Gokul Dham Chikale. 

Organized as part of the AICTE activity, the visit aimed to expose students to the challenges faced by communities living without essential amenities such as electricity and cooking gas.

Gokul Dham Chikale is home to a community that epitomizes the concept of “simple living, high thinking.” The students, accompanied by faculty members of AITM, were able to witness firsthand the resilience and resourcefulness of the qualified individuals residing in this unique setting.

Notably, the visit was not limited to civil engineering students but, mechanical students also participated in the expedition. 

The visit provided an invaluable opportunity for civil engineering students to observe and appreciate low-cost construction techniques employed by the residents. The use of mud blocks showcased sustainable and cost-effective building practices, aligning with the ethos of environmentally conscious engineering.

During the visit, students were privileged to receive guidance from the residents on how to lead a fulfilling life with limited resources. 

This AICTE activity visit serves as a testament to AITM’s commitment to providing holistic education that goes beyond traditional classroom boundaries. The university believes that such experiences are integral to shaping well-rounded and socially conscious engineers who are equipped to make a positive impact in the real world.

Inauguration ceremony of Association of Civil Engineering Students 2024-2025

The inauguration ceremony of Association of Civil Engineering Students and welcoming of fresher’s, was held by the Department of Civil Engineering, Angadi Institute of Technology and Management -AITM, Belagavi on Tuesday 24th September 2024.

The occasion marks the commencement of association activities along with welcoming the 2024-2025 batch students to the department.

The occasion was graced by the presence of esteemed guests. Er. Ramesh Tubachi, President of the Consulting Civil Engineers Association, Belagavi, served as the Chief Guest. In his insightful address, Sir highlighted emerging construction technologies and the numerous opportunities available in the civil engineering field. Sir urged students to explore new trends and adopt advanced techniques to remain competitive in the evolving industry.
Er. Veeresh Shettannavar, Secretary of the Consulting Civil Engineers Association and Guest of Honor, emphasized the importance of ethical practices, workforce management, and maintaining quality standards in civil engineering projects.
Presiding over the function, Dr. D. H. Rao, Academic Advisor, AITM, spoke about the growth of infrastructure development in India, recent advancements in civil engineering and also recognized the marvels achieved by civil engineers in the modern era.

The inaugural ceremony began with invocation song and lamp lighting, followed by welcoming the gathering by Mr. Sagar L Belgaonkar. 

Mr. Sagar L Belgaonkar addressed the the students and stressed upon   the association and its activities, he also welcomed the 3rd semester students to the department of civil engineering.

Prof. Gopal Surapalli presented the association activity report of the year 2023-2024.

The event also honored the academic achievements of the department’s toppers, who were felicitated by the Chief Guest, Guest of Honor, and the President of the function.

Engineer's Day 2024

The Department of Civil Engineering at Angadi Institute of Technology and Management -AITM, Belagavi organized a grant event to commemorate Engineer’s day, in honor of the visionary Bharat Ratna Sir MokshaGundam Visvesvaraya and engineers across the nation. This annual celebration acknowledges the remarkable contributions of engineers in shaping the world and reinforces the commitment to uphold professionalism, integrity, and the pursuit of excellence in the field.

The successful organization of Engineers’ Day at AITM was made possible through the unwavering support of the institution’s management, under the leadership of Dr. Spoorti Angadi Patil, Director of SAEF, Shri Raju Joshi, Administrator of SAEF, and Dr. Anand Deshpande, Principal and Director of AITM.
This Engineers’ Day celebration was a testament to the institute’s dedication to nurturing future engineering leaders, equipped with the knowledge and skills to contribute meaningfully to society’s sustainable development.
 

Orientation Program for 3rd Semester Students and Parents

The Department of Civil Engineering at Angadi Institute of Technology and Management (AITM) organized a comprehensive Orientation Program for 3rd semester students and their parents for the Academic Year 2024-2025 on 19th August 2024.

The program aimed to provide a detailed overview of the academic and institutional expectations while fostering a strong connection between students, parents, and the faculty.

The orientation program addressed the following key points:
Academic Requirements: Detailed insights into the academic expectations set forth by the University and the Institute were provided, ensuring that students and parents are well-informed of the academic commitments required for the upcoming semester.
Vision and Mission Awareness: The Vision and Mission of the Institute and Department were communicated, alongside the Program Educational Objectives (PEOs), Program Outcomes (POs), and Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs), to align students and parents with the department’s educational goals.
Accreditation Details: Information regarding the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accreditation of the department was shared, highlighting the department’s commitment to maintaining high academic standards.
Department Profile and Facilities: An overview of the Civil Engineering Department’s profile, including the state-of-the-art laboratory facilities, was provided, underscoring the resources available to students.

Achievements: The accomplishments of both the Department and Institute were showcased, celebrating milestones and success stories.

Rules and Regulations: The program emphasized the importance of adhering to the rules and regulations of the University (VTU) and the Institute, ensuring students and parents understand the guidelines that govern academic and disciplinary standards.
Academic Calendar: The academic calendar for the year 2024-2025 was presented, detailing important dates and deadlines to ensure students are well-prepared throughout the academic year.
Class Timetable and Registration: Students were briefed on the class timetable and the registration process within the department, facilitating a smooth transition into the new semester.

Event Report: A report on the activities conducted during the Academic Year 2023-2024 was presented, highlighting the department’s vibrant academic and extracurricular environment.

Parent-Faculty Interaction: A session dedicated to interactions between parents and faculty members allowed for discussions on academics, curriculum, facilities, and other pertinent issues, fostering an open dialogue.
The program commenced with Prof. Sagar L. Belgaonkar, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, who highlighted the Institute and Department’s overview and discussed the importance of NBA awareness. Following this, Prof. Ravi B. Tilaganji elaborated on the curriculum and the evaluation scheme for the 3rd semester. Prof. Gopal V. Surapalli provided insights into the department’s activities during the previous academic year and outlined the academic plan for the year ahead. Dr. B.T. Sureshbabu discussed the department’s laboratory facilities, while Prof. Ashok Hipparagi focused on the rules and regulations of the University and Institute. Prof. M.V. Kanthi further explained the academic requirements specific to the University and Department.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. M.A. Hanchinal, expressing gratitude to all participants for their active involvement in the orientation.

The 3rd, 5th and 8th semester students of the 𝑪𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒍 𝑬𝒏𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑫𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕, 𝑨𝑰𝑻𝑴, visited the construction site at METOFABRIK, Nandihalli , Belagavi on 29th February 2024. The visit was a part of industry institute interaction, wherein the students were involved in experiential learning. Students were able to see and observe the various components of Pre Engineered Buildings (PEB) and steel structures. The students could also witness the industrial buildings. 𝐌𝐫. Site Visit

The 3rd, 5th and 8th semester students of the 𝑪𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒍 𝑬𝒏𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑫𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕, 𝑨𝑰𝑻𝑴, visited the construction site at 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒐 𝑴𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒐𝒘𝒔, Udyambag, Belagavi on 29th February 2024. The visit was a part of industry institute interaction, wherein the students were involved in experiential learning. The students interacted with the various construction personnel including client, structural consultants, site engineers, electrical contractors, plumbers. The visit also helped the students to study the high rise G+12 storey apartment building under construction, and bridge the curriculum gap. The structural consultant 𝐌𝐫. 𝐀𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐲 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞 gave an insight about the design aspects of the structure.

Industiral Visit - Vikram Steels

Students of Civil Engineering Gain Insight into Steel Manufacturing and Innovative Construction Techniques

Students from the Department of Civil Engineering at Angadi Institute of Technology and Management-AITM, Belagavi recently embarked on a field trip to Vinayak Ispat, a prominent steel manufacturing company. The visit provided students with a comprehensive understanding of the intricate process involved in the production of Vikram TMT steel bars, from raw material acquisition to the final product.

Headed by Mr. Dinesh Desai, Project Head at Vinayak Ispat, the students were given a detailed walkthrough of the manufacturing facilities. Mr. Desai shared valuable insights into the technology and methodologies employed to ensure the quality and durability of Vikram TMT steel bars. The students had the opportunity to witness firsthand the various stages of production, highlighting the company’s commitment to excellence in the field.

As part of the educational excursion, the students also visited a new construction site at Ashok Nagar. The site showcased the implementation of cutting-edge technology, with a focus on sustainability. Of particular interest was the utilization of fly ash bricks, demonstrating the industry’s dedication to environmentally friendly construction practices.

This immersive field trip not only broadened the students’ understanding of steel manufacturing but also exposed them to the latest advancements in construction techniques. It serves as a testament to AITM’s commitment to providing students with practical experiences that enhance their education and prepare them for the challenges of the professional world.

Industiral Visit - UltraTech RMC Plant

Civil Engineering Students gain Invaluable Insights during Site Visit to Ultratech Ready Mix Concrete Plant

Department of Civil Engineering, Angadi Institute of Technology & Management-AITM, Belagavi organized a highly informative site visit for 3rd and 5th-semester students to the Ultratech Ready Mix Concrete plant located at Honaga Industrial Area, Belagavi on 30th December 2023. 

The objective of the visit was to provide students with practical knowledge of concrete mix design and an in-depth understanding of the various types of concrete manufactured by Ultratech.

Under the guidance of Mr. Sumeet, the Plant In-Charge at Ultratech Ready Mix Concrete, students were exposed to the intricacies of concrete production and gained valuable insights into the company’s innovative practices. During the visit, students had the opportunity to witness the entire concrete manufacturing process, from raw materials to the final product. 

The visit provided hands-on experience, allowing students to connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications.

This site visit is part of AITM College’s commitment to providing students with exposure to industry practices, bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world applications.

The occasion marks the commencement of association activities along with welcoming the 2023-2024 batch students to the department.

Engineer's Day 2023

Department of Civil Engineering, Angadi Institute of Technology and Management -AITM, Belagavi organized Engineer’s Day on 15th September 2023 with enthusiam.

Dignitaries paid floral tribute to Bharat Ratna awardee Sir M. Visvesvaraya on the occasion of his birth Anniversary and fondly remembered him. Video on the History of Sir M. Visvesvaraya with his contribution in the field of Engineering was shown to the audience.

Dr. D. H. Rao, Academic Advisor inspired the audience with his wonderful thoughts. Dr. B. T. Suresh Babu, Professor of Civil Engineering Department and Mr. Sadanand Dodamani, Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering Department Polytechnic enlightened the audience with talk on Engineer’s Day about Sir M. V. Visvesvaraya and outcome based education for present generation of students. Mr. Kiran Koraddi, HOD Civil Department Welcomed the gathering. Dr. Anand Deshpande, Principal & Director, AITM gave the Presidential Remark. Mrs. Grishma Nadkarni, Asst. Professor anchored the program. Mrs. Rasika Khannukar, Asst. Professor proposed the Vote of thanks.

Technical Webinar

Department of Civil Engineering, Angadi Institute of Technology and Management -AITM, Belagavi had organized a Technical Webinar on Topic: “Green Building Rating System” on 07/09/2023.

The Speaker Sri Rekha Mavulati, An architect is presently involved with the Green Building activities of CII- Godrej GBC, Hyderabad. Being expert in her respective field she provided valuable insights into the latest advancements in Green Building Rating System. The event successfully fostered knowledge sharing and networking among attendees. It also included interaction with students and clearing their doubts.

The event was organized by Mr. Mahebub Hanchinal, Assistant Professor Civil Department. Mrs. Rasika Khannukar, Assistant professor Introduced the Guest and Mr. Mehaboob Hanchinal, Assistant Professor gave the Vote of thanks. Students from all the semester and professors of Civil Department along with HOD were present for the Session.

“Best Project of the year”

Congratulations !!!

We feel proud to announce that our M.Tech Project Waste Water Management Health and Safety Engineering from Department of Civil Engineering, Angadi Institute of Technology and Management (AITM), Belagavi was been selected for 46th series of Student Project Programme Seminar and Project Exhibition: 2022-23 KSCST State Level held at Alva’s Institute of Engineering and Technology, Moodubidire on 11th and 12th August 2023 and is been awarded as “Best Project of the year”.

Another Academic Achievement at State level. The Management, Administrator, Principal and Staff of AITM congratulate our student Mr. Shreedhar Ullagaddi and their guide Dr. B.T Suresh Babu from Department of Civil Engineering for their commendable efforts and for inching one more step towards Academic Excellence.!!!!!!

Project titled “Study on Recovery of Wax from sugarcane Industrial Press Mud for the improvement of Agricultural Soil Fertility” is being awarded as “Best Project of the year” for the KSCST State Level Seminar and Exhibition is a great achievement and a testament to the hard work and innovative ideas of our student and his guide.

Visit to Belgaum Airport

Airport Visit was organized for Civil Engineering students on 20th July 2023.

A session was conducted by Mr. Bala, Airport Civil Engineer at Belagavi. He explained about the scenarios in airport operation. Students were allowed to see the functioning of each unit of the airport and their queries were also answered by the airport engineer. He gave us all general information regarding the Terminal Building, Air Traffic Control Room, Signal Towers, Runway, Taxiway, apron, cooling pit, Aviation light Signals etc.

Undoubtedly this visit contributed a whole lot of knowledge transfer from the field engineer to the students. Assistant Professor’s from Department of Civil Engineering accompanied the students.

Inaugration of IGBC Student Chapter

Department of Civil Engineering, Angadi Institute of Technology and management, Belagavi inaugurated Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) Student Chapter on 20th July 2023, Thursday @ 10.30 a.m.

Mr. Rajendra Belgaumkar, Chairman, IGBC Belagavi Chapter & Founder Principal, SENECA Consulting & Mr. Chaitanya Kulkarni, Co Chairman, IGBC Belagavi Chapter & Founder, Chaitanya Associates where the Chief Guest of the function.Mr. Kiran Koraddi, HOD Department of Civil Engineering welcomed the gathering. Mr. M. V. Kanthi, Associate Professor mentioned about the significance of IGBC and its aims.

Mr. Rajendra Belgaumkar & Mr. Chaitanya Kulkarni addressed the students about the importance of IGBC student chapter and how they are interconnected.Launch of IGBC Student Chapter was done by handing over of the certificate by IGBC Chair & Co Chair to the Principal, HOD and group of students lead.

Dr. Anand Deshpande, Principal & Director, AITM gave the presidential remarks and Mrs. Shruti Umare concluded the function with vote of thanks.Mrs. Grishma Nadakarni anchored the program.

World Environment Day 2023

Department of Civil Engineering, Angadi Institute of Technology and Management -AITM, Belagavi organized a Technical talk followed by Plantation of sampling on the occasion of World Environment Day on 5th June 2023.

Dr. B. T. Suresh Babu, Professor of Civil Department enlightened the audience with a talk on “Solution to Plastic Pollution” on this occasion. Plantation of saplings was carried out in the campus. Mrs. Rasika Khannukar, Asst. Professor from Department of Civil Engineering anchored the program.

The HOD’s of all the department, Faculty and Students were part of this function.

AICTE Activity Program

The 8th & 6th Semester students of Department of Civil Engineering were taken to Kakti Village on 28th April 2023 by the staff members to carry out AICTE Activity point Program. The objectives of AICTE student activity is to expose students to the real time life challenges, to provide opportunity to gather data, analyse data, propose solutions and implement solutions, provide an opportunity for personal development, to create engineers who are proud volunteers having a sense of achievement and ready to take up projects having social impact and to create digital awareness.

The students were divided into batches to carry out the following activities:

1. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan
2. Awareness program on the importance of education
3. Digital awareness program
4. Rainwater Harvesting Awareness program
5. Water Conservation Awareness 

Inauguration ceremony of Association of Civil Engineering Students

“Hongirana” the inauguration ceremony of Association of Civil Engineering Students and welcoming of fresher’s, was held by the Department of Civil Engineering on Friday 8th April 2023. The occasion marks the commencement of association activities along with welcoming the 2022-2023 batch students to the department.

Dr. Vinod I. Hosur Retd. Professor KLS GIT Belagavi was the chief guest of the function, Dr. D. H. Rao, Professor and Academic Advisor, AITM, Dr. Anand Deshpande, Principal & Director of AITM, Mr. Kiran S. Koraddi, Head of Civil Engineering Department, Mr. Gopal V. Surapalli, Association coordinator, Mr. Laxmish and Miss. Divyashree, Student coordinators presided the function.

The inaugural ceremony began with invocation song and lamp lighting, followed by welcoming the dignitaries. The association activity report of the year 2021-2022 was presented by Mr. Gopal Surapalli, assistant Proffesor. Dr. Vinod Hosur, addressed the students regarding the opportunities in the field of civil engineering, he also elaborated on how to set the goals and plan their strategies by understanding strengths, challenges and weaknesses. 

Dr. D. H. Rao presented the presidential remarks, he quoted civil engineers as the nation builders and urged the students to apply the emerging technologies for solving civil engineering problems.The event concluded with the vote of thanks by Miss. Shruti Umare.

Visit to Ramkrishna Mission Ashram, Belagavi

The social connect and responsibilities activity session  was  conducted for 3rd semester students of Civil Engineering Department, Angadi Institute of Technology and  Management on 27-01-2023.

Mrs.Grishma Nadkarni ,Mrs.Shruti Umare and Mrs.Rasika Khanukar accompanied the students. Mrs. Kiran Koraddi Hod, Civil Engineering Department was the pioneer behind the visit.

Students learnt about Legendry man Swami Vivekananda. They visited library, Meditation room, Swami Vivekananda memorial room.  An eye opening  session was conducted by one of the Swamiji’s of Ashram for our students. All the students were highly inspired by the talk. A sense of enthusiasm and positivity was seen in the students after the talk.

Elovution Competition Under Orator Club

Elocution Competition was organised Department of Civil Engineering under Orator Club on 24th January 2023.  Students from all branches participated in the competition. Topics for the competition were India
@75 and Nari Shakti .

Judges for the function were Dr. Suryakumar N. Khanai, Director MBA, AITM , Mr. M.V. Kanthi , Assistant Professor Civil Department, Miss Sneha Murari , Assistant Professor Physics Department, AITM.

Online Alumni Meet "Samaagam-2022"

Department of Civil Engineering organized Online Alumni Meet “SAMAAGAM- 2022” on 24th December 2022.

Mr. Kiran Koraddi, HOD Civil Department welcomed all the Alumni to the online alumni meet “SAMAAGAM-2022”. Mr. Sagar Belgoankar, Assistant Professor briefed about the NBA concept. Prominent Alumni members shared their views and experience during their Engineering life in AITM, Belagavi and about the facilities and benefits that they have got in AITM. They also shared about career opportunities in the field of Civil Engineering. 

Mr. Ravi Telaganji and Mrs. Shruti Umare, Assistant Professors took feedback on the curriculum. Mrs. Rasika Khannukar, Assistant Professor told about the importance of Alumni and Alumni mentor. Mrs. Grishma Nadkarni, Assistant Professors gave the vote of thanks.

Industrial Visit to Kapeel Founders, Belagavi

Department of Civil Engineering, Angadi Institute of Technology and Management -AITM, Belagavi organized Industrial Visit on Steel Structures at Navage Plant, Kapeel Founders,Belagavi on 20th December 2022 for 7th & 5th Semester students.

Mr. Sagar L. Belgaonkar& Mr. Ravi B Tilaganji, Assistant Professors, Civil Engineering Department, approached Mr. Anant P Patil and Mrs. Veena A Patil, Kapeel Founders, Navage, Belagavi, Karnataka to organize Industrial Visit.

The Aim of the Industrial visit is to bridge the gap between the theoretical aspects of design of steel structures and RCC structures with the actual practically executed Pre-Engineered Building. The Industrial visit was with a motive of explaining the Design done in the class room on RCC Water Tanks, RCC Cantilever Retaining walls, Column – Column, Column – Beam connections, Gantry girder etc. practically on site.

Hands-on training on MS Project

Department of Civil Engineering, Angadi Institute of Technology and Management -AITM, Belagavi organized Hands-on training session on MS Project on 01/12/2022 at CAED Laboratory, AITM- Belagavi.

Mr. Ravi B. Tilaganji and Mr. Sagar L. Belgaonkar, Assistant Professors, Civil Engineering Department, approached Ms. Vidya K. Haval and Mr. Nilesh Patil, CCare, CGK Constructions Real Estate & Pvt. Ltd.,Belagavi, Karnataka to present a Hands-on training session on the topic “MS Project Software”and emphasized the scope and opportunities in MS Project in the civil engineers in the society. Ms. Vidya K. Haval gave the detailed hands-on training to students about the MS Project software, Project Management, Financial tracking in construction business, how to manage the individual construction business with ease of software and Mr. Nilesh Patil provided the knowledge of engineering subjects and how one can handle the projects with the new technologies and technical knowledge and he also told how to be working professional in the field of civil engineering.

Industrial Visit

Department of Civil Engineering, Angadi Institute of Technology and Management -AITM, Belagavi organized Industrial Visit for 7th Semester Civil Engineering Department students to JK Cement Factory, Muddapur on 3rd December 2022.

A session was conducted by Mr. Mahesh, Manager, JK Cement Factory, Muddapur explaining about how Manufacturing process of cement and tests conducted on various types of cement with industry central automation system.

Students also visited Badami caves and Banashankari temple during the visit. Mr. Gopal Surapalli and Mr. Rahul Bannur, Assistant Professor’s from Department of Civil Engineering accompanied the students to the Industrial Visit.

Technical Talk

Er. Shri K S Venkatesh Murthy, Technical Director, WWP, Mumbai, is a Practicing Structural Engineer with vast experience of more than 30 years in the design of high-rise building structures. He presented a talk on Technologies used in Civil Engineering on 31/10/2022.
